Getting home munchies!!!!! Who else out there falls into this trap????

I started the year off with a food journal. A little notebook that is small enough to go wherever I do and enough pages for me to write it all down for the year. I have been so good about it so far.
Yesterday was my first day back at work and I didn't fill in my book at the time, but I did after dinner and what I ate from the time I got home until 8:00 PM was ridiculous!!!!! I got into 6 items before dinner and they were bad, very bad. After I wrote it down, I looked at it and couldn't believe it. Have I been doing this every day when I get home from work? I didn't do this when I was off, so what is it about work?
What I realize when I am home I can graze and I have that journal sitting on the counter making me feel guilty when I make a bad choice. When I got home yesterday, the journal was out of sight in my work bag. No one or nothing to make me feel guilty. I also realize that I eat lunch at work and that is all, no snacks, no grazing. No wonder I feel like I am starving when I get home. So today I planned better, I brought a snack for about 3 PM and put an alert on my phone to take the journal out of the bag and set it on the counter when I get home!!!!!!! I hope I can do a lot better today.
Anyone else get the "get home munchies"? How do you combat it? I know I realized some stuff, but I would love some extra feedback and tips.
