I've gotten much healthier, but still have a long 'weigh' to go! emoticon
Age, stress, patterns, health issues and downright couch potatoing has me in a sedentary slump that is becoming the norm....I don't want that norm. I eat much better and less volume than a few years ago, I'm moving, but only 7-9k steps a day. I'm not breaking any sweats or getting any heart rates up....I need to. I'll feel more energized and my brain will spin more wild ideas....I like wild ideas. I write, I'm getting ready for an art show, I'm parent to an extremely medically fragile special needs 12 yr. old daughter. She has her 10th heart surgery coming up this month. I need to be stronger. My house is a clutter chaos swirl of unfinished ADD projects. I live with my wife, the love of my life, Susan, soon we celebrate 30 years together, we've fostered over 100 kids, adopted 3. Kids are 41,31,21 and 12. Lots of special needs between them. We are kid folks, mostly eat plant based diet, love the outdoors and committed to environmental lifestyle. We eat at least a season off our city lot size home garden. I spend too much screen time with word games....I love life, I'm optimistic, a hard worker and do a lot of social justice/compassionate support kinds of work.

I want back into this fold of incredible strong supportive folk here committed to happy healthy lives through conscious choices!
thanks for reading! emoticon

Glad you are here! Sounds like you are ready to get up and go.
Wishing you the very best of luck. I think it awesome that you care and have cared for so many children.
As a child of the Lord, I would like to encourage you with a verse that is encouraging me to go forward. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid, neither be thous dismayed, for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thous goest.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (I have found out that when my Will is in line with God's plan for my life, I am given His strength to move forward.
This is day 4 for me on this weight loss journey and I feel big time motivated by these 2 verses.
    Best wishes
