I've been in a funk for the last few months, but I've done some reflecting and thinking and I'm ready to resolve again to get back on the path, on the journey to a healthier me. The funk came about just because of life, but I was beating up myself over some things I couldn't control.
I'm glad I kept a journal because rereading some entries helped me refocus. Without those reminders of what I'd accomplished and what I thought would have left me with even more to overcome. If you're not journaling, do start; that record will help. No real recommendations on what to include, just record what you're feeling, what you've accomplished, what worked, what you'd like your next step to be......................what you'd like to have on record for yourself.
Other reading that was helpful was an article by SP, 7 to-do's before you start a weight-loss program. Most of us have probably already learned/discovered the steps, but the learning/discovering may have been "painful" in that we learned them through trial/error on our journeys.
