Goodbye 2015, hello 2016!

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Well, the end of another year. 2015 was overall a great year. In life anyway. I am in the same place I was on the scale as I was last year, which I guess COULD be considered a good thing. It could definitely be worse. In life the year was good. Johnny got a new job with a hefty pay raise. The boys are healthy and growing. A few unexpected medical things cropped up but that is to be expected from a family of klutzes.

So now its a new year. I went back to read the blog entries from last year and I really don't have anything new to report. Again, I am sick of being fat. I am sick of being fat but I am not sick of eating. Therein lies the problem! I am back to lifting after a months hiatus. I hurt my shoulder in August, turns out that I tore a bicep tendon. I was continuing to lift until I shredded my finger open and needed stitches. I had to take some time off for that to heal, and in that time I also got a cortisone shot in my shoulder. I went back to lifting this week and that felt good. Still not 100% with my finger so that makes it hard (to type, too!) but at least its closed up. My shoulder feels better but again, not 100%. Slowly but surely.

My mom's personal trainer got me started on these Shakeology shakes. They are good. A good breakfast. So I am going to start back on those after tomorrow. Tomorrow is the "eat the rest of the junk in the house and whatever doesn't get eaten gets tossed" day. I know it shouldn't be like that, it should just get tossed now, but its good and that can get expensive. So one more day.

I also got a computer for home. My husband got me a Surface book for drawing but it is a real computer not just a tablet so I can keep up on my blog entries and stuff more regularly. And maybe even track my food consistently! I know that helps me so I need to do it. Now I have no excuses except laziness.

I need someone to help me be consistent. I had an accountability partner last year and it helped but it was totally one-sided and thus not long lasting. If anyone out there wants to exchange food pics for every meal and keep each other going, let me know!

So, here I am saying goodbye to what was really a great year. I hope 2016 is just as successful, or even more so!

I would not be a good candidate for sharing pictures of every meal.
But I can check in with some encouragement!
This is going to be a great year!
