New Years Eve

Thursday, December 31, 2015

I cannot stand New Years Eve. Today I have been stressing about going out to dinner tonight with my husband and another couple. I bought a new dress and decided that I look fat in it. I then decided I need spanx for this dress. Trying on spanx was a whole experience that I hope to never have to relive. Extremely depressing.

So, after stressing about my outfit, I have narrowed it down to two. One I am extremely comfortable in but I wore on Christmas Eve, or a strapless dress with nylons (I despise nylons). I will probably wear the dress, just because this break I haven't gotten cleaned up, and I have lived in yoga pants and sweatshirts. Arghhh, decisions, decisions!!

Enough of my depressing rant. Today I have done pretty well with what I have been eating. I also got up and worked out this morning! I only walked 2 miles but its better than me just laying in bed, like I really wanted to do.

I just have to remember to not go overboard at dinner tonight with food and drinks. If I do that, I think that I will be good to go!

I'm many days late, but welcome to SP! I've gotten down to my goal weight and tend to hover right at 118 lbs. after having lost 80 at the tender (ha!!) age of 59, but I have a lot of loose skin where my abdomen once protruded. So I try not to buy clothes that might accentuate that flaw, though I did try on some Spanx once.

It was like the most hideously designed, strangulating 21st-century GIRDLE diabolically created!

I really understand your aversion to Spanx and nylons! They're a recipe for making an evening out utterly miserable! Nice to meet you (over on FlyBabies :) - Mary
