First of all, I thank you all for your awesome Christmas wishes. I have enjoyed each and every one of them, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendship and encouragement this year. It has meant the world to me.
I have had a lot of fun. My parents had not seen me since I started Spark, and their praise has been effusive and kind. I have seen a number of their friends who have been more than kind, too. It is hard to accept compliments, but I FEEL good, so I do say that. It is an empowering experience to have so many adults I admire so much to tell me they admire my journey. I know I will be on this road forever, and am so grateful.
This morning I awoke to a gorgeous day, a view of the Pacific Ocean, all the way to Catalina Island (22 miles across the sea, as the song goes), and a crisp air of about 60 degrees...Mom keeps telling me it's cold, and I have said repeatedly that I am so glad she is not living in Minnesota. It is awesome to be in this warm weather, with an ocean view out of every room, and my incredibly wonderful Dad making every healthy meal, that looks like it came out of Gourmet Magazine (albeit a low calorie one!!).
It is a treat to be here, and I realize how fortunate I am to have such magnificent parents who have always been supportive and a positive influence and who are now very proud of me. That means a lot, because of how much they mean to me.
My darling Daughter is in Iowa visiting with her beau's family, and it feels a bit melancholy to be without her. I think I might have to get used to it! No matter, love goes across phone lines and even the Country, if need be.
I hope you have all your loved ones close, and you have a magnificent, healthy Christmas.
Thank you all for being so AWESOME!!
Merry Christmas Love!
