Christmas eve dinner... 935 calories

Thursday, December 24, 2015

Had a nice Christmas eve dinner at my grandmother's tonight. Was so full by the end of it that I could only get in a 12 minute walk. It started off with decorating cookies with one of my young cousins. I didn't eat a single bite from those. Her younger sister on the other hand was baking ginger cookies for the first time. I had half a cookie from that fresh out of the oven batch. No way to estimate the calories in that serving. But it was delicious. For dinner:- I had a slice of chicken breast about 2 ounces, a slice of chicken thigh about 2 ounces. I logged it as 0.25 chicken thigh and 3 ounces of chicken breast roasted. One big spoonful of cranberry sauce ~1 cup of stuffing and gravy ~1.5 cups of green bean casserole (it's hard to believe how much I love this) ~0.5 cup of sweet potatoes with marshmallows. My rough estimates using similar items comes to 935 calories. I drove back home and thought of walking for 32 minutes but couldn't do more than 12. Weird stitch on my sides.. plus it's really warm out there. I guess all the buttery food has made me sluggish tonight. I have a similar lunch planned tomorrow with my grandmother and some more of her family. It's really yummy and warm but wow this stuff is loaded with calories. I hope I can get in my 32 minute walk tomorrow to balance this off. How was your Christmas dinner?? Regards emoticon

935 calories doesn't seem too bad for a holiday meal. Sounds delicious! We'll be having lasagna with veggies on the side tonight. Merry Christmas!
