THE WORLD'S GOING TO END...I'm here two days in a row. *L*
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day; have my doctor's appointment today, so heading out in a bit.
Things went great at the Quilt Drawing at McDonalds. (nope, didn't eat there.) The guy who won, he and his wife (who was 8 months pg at the time), lost their baby, and he always takes his 2 year old to the playground we're rebuilding. He was going to give the quilt and stand to his wife. I was so happy for him, that was a tear jerker. He didn't tell us that, but the one who sold him the ticket told us. I'm so glad someone like him won..sounded like they needed some good news. Plus he said he'd never won anything before, so YAY!!!!
He gave us permission to use his photo on our FB and webpage, so I've posted them there, but I'll post a few here, too.
Travis and his prize:
Tickets we sold:
We sold 790 tickets (one board member didn't return her unsold book (10 tickets), otherwise we could have sold those, too!!)
I'm not sure if I showed these pics of our GrandPuppy, Gator, yet, but if I did..they're worth a second look.
Gator with his "Mom's" Christmas necklace:
Oh, and no one told me that medical bracelets were supposed to be the things you had to warn others about ON the bracelet. This is what mine did to me yesterday:
*L* Have a wonderful week, and remember to share a smile! Merry Christmas if I don't get the chance to see you before then!
