Day 3 and I did it! I walked a mile today and stayed within my calories. I ever have enough left over for a glass of wine to celebrate. I am finding its much easier to diet when I am at work. 1488 days ago

First off, you have to see yourself beautiful even at 245 pounds. Beauty should not be associated with a certain weight. With that being said, it's good that you're trying to get to a healthy weight.
You probable formed bad habits over your lifetime like a lot of us have and so it takes time to change bad habits unto good ones. It's not going to happen overnight but it can be done. I don't know what your plan is but try to work on one thing at a time.
Maybe work on choosing foods ( protein & fiber) that help keep you full for a period of time. Occupy your time so you won't be idle which helps to not think about eating so much. Drink water several times a day which helps with what we think is hunger pangs. Space out your meal and snack times. When you think your hungry go for a walk.
On this lifestyle journey, you will learn from trial and error and tweaking what you're doing to find out what works best for you. Just know that you are worth all the hard work and time and effort you will have to invest to have a chance at a healthier and better quality of life.
if you settle in your heart that quitting is not an option no matter how long it takes to get to your goal weight. 1490 days ago
You can do it. I'm trying to lose down to 245. The last time that I was weighed at my doctor's office I had lost 11 pounds. It took me 3 months. :( It is coming off slowly.HOWEVER, I have been really struggling since I was at the doctor's. I can't seem to get back on track for very long, but I keep trying. Today I walked the dog for 17 minutes. I've kept within my calorie goals. I haven't drank my 8 glasses of water yet...I'm hoping that after Christmas I can get back on routine and really do better, BUT right now I am just trying to not really mess up. :( Getting the fiber helped me not to feel hungry so I know that I have got to start paying attention to fiber again. WE CAN DO THIS! 1490 days ago
