Making the minutes count

There's definitely some truth to that chuckle.

Talking on the phone is one of those things where I can make it count in my favor.

A couple of years ago, during one of the wonderful SparkPeople challenges, I was introduced to the magic of multi-tasking while talking on the phone.

Since that time, rather than sitting on my backside while talking on the phone, you'll usually find me racking up some fitness minutes by getting up and walking/marching through the house (or outside if weather permits), or stepping on the elliptical or treadmill.

Though I've had to explain my heavy breathing at times, it's a great way to make the time pass . . . this morning without even thinking about it, I did 20 minutes on the treadmill while chatting with my mother and sister.
