Ta Da! The Light is turning on!

Last night at Share A Meal, a community service where groups and/or individuals will make and serve a meal for the community, I ate what was served: Turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole. This morning, my fingers are aching. I am thinking that the culprit may actually be that animal product.

In the past, I thought maybe it was due to tomatoes (the nightshade family) but I think I am waking up to the fact that I really ought to make that final step and eliminate meat (dead flesh) from any creature. I do not eat a lot of meat, but I am thinking that having my fingers stiff and sore is reason enough to rethink the amount that I do eat.

That was the first meat serving I had in quite awhile and the fact that the stiffness comes this morning is a revelation as to what may be the cause. I had been eating tomatoes this week and did not notice anything different until this morning.

Whole Food Plant based is what I want my diet to be.

Eating too much red meat and other foods (including certain veggies) can help flare up gout. Gout is no fun. Glad you are figuring things out!

I had to figure out that I am gluten intolerant. I have to watch out for gout too-lol.
