gray and blues

I open the blinds in my bedroom every morning as soon as I get up. My brain needs some daylight to prove it's actually time to be awake. Lately, it's been cloudy and rainy and just yuck out. I'm feeling the gray skies with the blah blues. Though I know I feel more energized after, it's harder to get myself on the bike. Even with morning exercise energy, by evening, I am craving carbs like I'm preparing for hibernation.

Yesterday, I fished out my happy light and was going to use it while I eat breakfast and check email/SP. Then I had a brilliant (heh, see what I did there?) idea--do light therapy while riding my bike! I put the light on the same side of me as the window. I'm not sure if it's really doing anything but it doesn't seem so dreary with light the color of a sunny summer sky shining on me. Certainly can't hurt.

Oh yeah, got a call today that insurance finally approved my new CPAP. I'll get it on Friday.
