LoH CAMDEN Fundraiser..

Saturday, December 05, 2015

Well, I started to get my voice back on Monday (this last Monday), but after today, I'm back to squeaking and all. Why? Because I was going to stand at the door at the Harley Davidson store and hand out brochures, tell everyone who came in what was going on (craft sale, bake sale, for CAMDEN), and when I asked 6 board members to do it, because of my voice, only 1 would help out. The others had "excuses" including Camden's mother, my sister.

It irritates the heck out of me that we do everything for my nephew and the playground that we're trying to rebuild, and she won't help by speaking to people and telling them what we're doing. Another ARRRGGGHHHH time. so I ended up with my ex-sister in law (we're still good friends), who drove all the way from north of Madison to help out ( in Janesville). Then my Mom, who always tells me "not to stress" forced me into taking the quilt and stand home, PLUS the table of someone that works at our bank (where she's going on Monday), instead of her dropping it off there. I ALWAYS get forced into crap like this and's just so frustrating. Oh and she also shoved the tickets, pail, and other crap into my hands to take home. I just want to scream.

Top that off with my voice still not doing good, coughing, sore shoulder and stiff neck.....

Anyway, we only made around $100 on the craft sale, and my Mom wouldn't tell me how much on the bake sale. But she's going to have to tell me because the lady at the HD place needs to know.

Anyway, I'm still exhausted all the time, when I was trying to talk today, I would get out of breath, because I have to force the air out to talk.

So anything, it was a good day, I think, but now I have another fundraiser Wednesday....and guess who gets to call about someone setting up a bake sale there? Yep, me...I give up. "puts a sign on self" just wipe feet here.

Have a great day, everyone, and I hope things are going wonderfully for you! To bring a smile, here are more pictures of our Grandpuppy, Gator.

sorry to hear you still aren't getting the support you need. you know they say only 10-20% of the people do 80-90% of the work on any committee or in any group. Sounds like you happen to be in the top 1% of those groups *sigh*
