What I am

Friday, December 04, 2015

I was stuck in traffic, this for the second time today, I got to think why am I so patient when it comes to driving. So I ponder a bit, since the traffic wasn't moving. I for unknown reasons do not freak out in traffic. But go to the grocery store to check out and the lines are 2 -3 people deep and there's just not enough cashier's to get "me" out of there. Yes that's me. So I ponder some more. Finally moved to the merge lane, it was my turn. Only to go and then get to the yellow light. That wasn't too bad. Another 5 minutes and I was home. I pondered some more. And thought I really need to focus more on what I am, rather then what I'm not. Maybe this is similar exercise to the grateful or happiness tracking. For I need those to, but for today I will evaluate what I am. 1. I am a patient driver, and courteous one as well. 2. I am a creative and good cook. Tonight I threw in some apples with the chicken. Let's see how that goes. 3 I am a kind and loving person. Although I do get a little freaked out meeting people for the first time. ( social anxiety needs some work there). 4. I am an excellent employee. I'm hoping I like my new job at Home Depot. Can not wait for spring. Oh yes, I love to garden and that is the department ill be working in. 5. I am a great friend, although I don't always realize it. So these are a few positives I came up with today. I have to turn my negative internal critic around. I have to believe and see what everyone else sees. I truly believe that is how I will succeed this time. It's taken me along time to find and feel happiness. So this I feel is another part on my "mental" journey. I'm always looking for feedback, so feel free..Thanks for reading.
