A Starting Point

Monday, November 30, 2015

Thanksgiving emoticon is out of the way! I cooked into the wee hours of the morning just to have a meal last maybe 20 to 30 minutes. I've looked into all that we put in our food and think - wow - I could totally do something better with my time! LOL Of course, like many I"m sure - I ate more than I needed to. I don't make most of the foods I cook for Thanksgiving most of the year - or at least not until Christmas do I do a couple of them again then that's it.

I've been on a search for a New Treadmill. When I first started Sparkpeople several years ago - I had a new one - used it for nearly 2 years and lost around 50 lbs - was told by my back doctor that it is only making my back worse so I needed to find something else like an elliptical. I did that - got rid of the treadmill and I feel it was the biggest mistake ever. I've slowly gained SOME of my weight back - not ALL - thank God! So regardless of what they say I WILL find another treadmill to get back into my groove again. I moved last April to an area that is nearly impossible to walk outside - just too dangerous because of the curvy road and how people drive on it.

My goal for December is to log into Sparkpeople EVERY day, log my food - whether I go over or not - just to start getting back in the habit of doing what I KNOW works. Then, hopefully within the next week or so I'll have a treadmill to start adding some exercise time in there as well - just like before. Sometimes, you have to get back to the "old ways" of doing things - especially when they worked. So here's to going BACK and starting again. emoticon
