Received a call from my hubby letting me know that our coacker spaniel, Lady, is not doing well. She keeps falling over when she tries to stand and walk. I know she's 12 (84 people years) and at least since we've had her she's had a good life....doesn't make the sad facts any easier. Her life started out pretty good, then she had a couple of years with an abusive and neglectful owner and then she got us. Think the years she had that weren't good took a toll on her and some of her medical issues were a result. Unfortunately, i can't take her to the vet today (hubby might if she doesn't improve) but i will tomorrow. I'm just so sad... :(...we've had 10-11 years together and i will miss her! Took me 18 years to get another dog after my beagle died.....don't think i'll get another one. Too much pain.

Hugs to you having lost many never gets easier. But the joy that they give us and we give them I guess is worth the price of unconditional love. emoticon I still miss our fur kitties and it's been years. emoticon One day I will get two more and take the chance of weighing the joy against the pain of loss once again.

As they say...better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all. emoticon

I feel just like you.. Keep in mind that she would never have had the quality of life if you did not make her part of your family..just like any loyal friend.. Thank you for being a wonderful parent.

I'm so sorry to hear this!! Hopefully the vet can provide some more information, or at least make her more comfortable. I have a dog and two cats and know that pain. :( Sending you well wishes!
