Sunday was a great day for us! The weather was cold, raw and damp. People stayed away from Monadnock in droves. We had the Dublin Trail to ourselves. The peace and solitude was exactly what we needed.
Many times in life, we do not know exactly what to do and which way to go.
This was a day when we chose the path less traveled, and it was a beautiful trail indeed!
The weather improved as we hiked. The sky cleared, and we had a few nice view spots.
We met some new friends from Montreal, and I was able to give them advice on different trails.
My husband John did well. This was his first real hike since August. We took it slow since there was icy spots, and enjoyed all 5 miles and 5 hours of hiking Mt. Monadnock. It felt good to be hiking again!
