Day 1/43 - Plan thru year's end

I was doing some thinking last night, you know, while I couldn't sleep at all... all night... And I have come up with some goals from now until the end of the year - only 43 days!!!
Yesterday my co-worker asked me if I want to do the Turkey Burn on Thanksgiving with her at the YMCA - 90 minutes of kickboxing, core work, and INSANITY. YES! YES I DO!! So, as I lay in bed sleepless last night I was thinking that I'll get a workout in on Thanksgiving, and what days I WON'T be able to workout due to the holidays.
I figure I will not be working out Black Friday (our last college football game of the season), and Christmas Eve and Day are both out because we will be going non-stop. That is 3 days of not working out and/or meeting my step goal. I am going to allow myself 6 of the next 43 days to not workout and/or meet my step goal. I am also going to allow myself 10 days of eating over my calorie allowance. 6 days just seems to be slightly too restrictive this time of year. I will try to stay below 6, but I don't want to have a bad couple of days and then throw it all away - because that is the way my mind works.

I am doing well on calories today - I've tracked what I plan to have for dinner and I'm right at the lower end of my range. I tracked yesterday and was a few hundred calories over, but I'm just proud of myself for tracking.
I'm really hoping that my dedication this week and increase in cardio will leave me happy with the number I see on the scale when I weigh in on Thanksgiving. I will also weigh in the next day to see the damage done, but then maybe go to weekly weigh ins rather than daily.
What is everyone's plan for next week? Anybody else doing a Thanksgiving workout??
