Do You Need a "Fattitude" Adjustment?

Monday, November 09, 2015

Do You Need a "Fattitude" Adjustment? Come on we probably all needs this if we are willing to admit it. We all compare ourselves to others. Why can't I lose weight like her? Why can't I look like that in that type of outfit. We've all done it.

Comparing ourselves to someone else is a great way to kill our motivation and leave us in a lurch. When I step on those scales I want to see weight loss. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't but if I don't I only have myself to blame. I learned a long time ago not to beat myself up over weight loss. I'm not ever going to be small, but I can learn to adjust my fattitude and realize there are other results that have happened along the way:

1.) I'm stronger than before
2.) My clothes are fitting looser
3.) My heart is stronger
4.) My blood pressure is down
5.) Overall I feel better about myself

This is only five. I could go on and on. So the next time you step on those scales and feel defeated remember what this picture shows. And believe me we could all use this type of encouragement when we start feeling defeated.

With this being said. Have a great day everyone. Oodles of blessings on each and every one of you. ~ Donna

Donna, I love your take on this! You understand that weight loss doesn't happen overnight, and when it doesnt, not to let it ruin your day. That's where I am learning right now. I always beat myself up when the scale goes up instead of down.
