Pay attention! Plan! TAKE ACTIONS vs. thinking about actions
Saturday, November 07, 2015
As long as I pay attention I WILL reach my weight loss (and other goals). I can't let up for a day or that could (will) slide into a week, a month, a year of sleeping through life and just surviving the days, but not really pushing to go anywhere I want to go in my own life!
Nothing healthy or good for me is automatic because I didn't grow up doing this stuff. It takes time, planning and thought about what to do, how to make it work, and learning through trial and error what works for me and my body to create a healthier lifestyle. I hope someday, at least some of it will become more "normal" and automatic.
If I don't track or don't measure or plain old don't care then I only cheat MYSELF.
I have a real problem with thinking about actions vs. doing them. I get stuck and waste a lot of time.
I need to have higher standards of integrity with my own self and what I do and say I will do.
If I care about something or it is bothering me--whether it is weight related, chaos in my life, messy house, whatever--then to do anything LESS than actually taking actions to fix it as best as I can is just being mean to myself.
