Excitement only takes you so far....

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Then it actually hits you that there is a reason you hadn't been successful in the past! What am I talking about? Waking up early to exercise! I was so excited on Monday to get back to the gym and to try a new class yesterday. Well, yesterday morning rolls around and after much debate and pressing snooze, I decided to just sleep through the SPOGA class I wanted to go to. Hmph. Then I got busy running around and still told myself I'd workout at home. Never happened.

Yesterday was the first day all month I didn't workout OR hit my step goal. But, that's okay. I am ready to get back to it today. I am eating well and feeling motivated for my workout tonight. I think today I will just work on Tabatas. Jacobs Ladder, rowing machine, and whatever that arm bike thingy is (anybody know the real name of it??). That'll be a nice quick workout. Then I'll walk a few laps to cool down. Maybe walk a lap to cool down between each Tabata. I'm not totally committed to this plan, and of course a lot of it will depend on how busy the gym is. I know I'll be able to start on the arm bike thing, as I've never seen anybody use it.

Anyhow... I hope everyone had a great day! Please send me some "wake up" vibes tomorrow so I can try SPOGA! :)

It can be all too easy to skip a workout... and then the regret sets in. Ugh! I did that to myself last night. I really needed those steps and fitness minute too! Sounds like you got yourself back on track this morning though! Super awesome!

I expect you to go to SPOGA this time around! That's so cool you have a Jacob's Ladder!! I've always wanted to try it! Super jealous about your new Y gym. But being that it was the first day you didn't work out all month, I think that's ok. Yes, a rest day with the doggy is acceptable. But sill, go to SPOGA so I can live vicariously through you doing it!
