Started off bad, ended up good

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

So today started off bad. I've been trying to wake up earlier in the morning as I need to get used to getting up early for when I go back to work. I also am going on a trip this weekend and need to get up at 5 on Friday so I've been trying to get my body used to getting up earlier. I had been doing so well; I had gotten up by 6 for about 5 days in a row. Then I forgot to set my alarm last night, so I slept until 9! Ugh! I rushed out of bed, didn't take a shower, had no time to exercise, and rushed through my prayers as I was meeting a friend for coffee around 10. Then I made bad food choices. I ate too many carbs this morning and for lunch. I tried to go to the gym after my meeting with my friend but I had so many chores to do around the house to get ready for this weekend that I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it all done. So I came home instead, feeling defeated. I did dishes, paid the bills, did 4 loads of laundry, put the flea meds on one of the cats, and sorted through some of my email. Then it hit me that it was still light out and I did have time for a walk. So I went for an hour and 25 minute walk. My food choices still aren't great today but I'm ending tonight with having chicken and veggie stir fry with brown rice for dinner. I also played with my fitness settings because I'm definitely getting more exercise than what I'm planned for. So I won't be going over my calories today and will be staying within my carb, fat, protein, and fiber limits. So it turned out to be a hectic but good day!

Great reminder that it is never too late. And if it is truly too late for exercise or better food choices, I always opt on working on a better attitude, so I can be encouraged for the next day, and have a restful night sleep without the poison of regrets. We can do this!

You turned negatives into positives. Those are lessons that I am just now starting to learn. It can ne difficult to not let a few bad moments link together to make a chain that can derail you in a hurry. Great job on bouncing back in a big way!!!
