Six weeks in again

It's been a good six weeks since I 'respark'ed my journey to a younger me. Last year I gained about ten pounds just in a few months (at least I think a few weeks because I had stopped weighing myself) and I stayed that way for a year despite telling myself I would go back to being more careful on my diet. But the real change was that I had dropped my walking habit when my walking buddy passed away suddenly after a stroke. It does really help to have a someone along on a walk, to talk with, commiserate with, and laugh with. So I'm finding new walking pals and meantime I'm tracking my food, joining challenges, and just keeping tuned in to Sparkpeople.

    emoticon Glad you didn't give up. I too quit weighing in this past summer, but I was encouraged to keep on doing it. I think I would have given up everything I worked so hard for if I hadn't got the encouragement I needed. Kudos to you! emoticon
