So my challenge for today is not to complain, which is really hard because, let's face it, I'm a complainer. I've been on spark people (again) since August and I've lost 1 measly pound. That makes it really hard to keep on going. I'm exercising regularly 3-5 days per week, staying within my calorie limits 6-7 days per week, and really, really, *really* trying. But my clothes don't fit any better, and that scale is mocking me! I had really hoped that I would be well on my way to working off the weight by now but it is not to be. Trying to stay positive, but that is hard today. So I complained. Oh well.

    I can see why you would be discouraged. Let me just tell you some of the things that people have told me worked for them. Some have added a strength routine at least 3 times per week with weights (free weights work well) to add muscle, which in turn burns more calories throughout the day. Also making sure you drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water each day religiously. If there is not enough water, your body tries to hold on to water and some of the weight could be water weight. Also a few members who follow a nutrition plan added 200 or so calories to their daily goal, because they did not lose weight or plateaued for too long. Ends up that much like not enough H20, the body will try to hold on to the fat storage if not enough calories are consumed, and will start losing again, if the minimum is raise. A few members started with interval training, where the intensity varies within the workout, and that seemed to work for quite a few of them. I personally have not tried any of those, but saw the results in other members who were struggling with the same issue. Also making sure to eat a low sodium diet can make a difference. I hope you find what works for you. Sometimes it is just a small change to see better results. Keep at it, you are already doing great, by being here and trying to figure it all out!! Just keep at it, you are so close to success!

    Sometimes a change is what is needed to kick up the weight loss. Can you change the foods you are eating or the diet plan you are following? Sometimes the novelty factor makes a difference & is just what we need to see some progress. Hang in there. emoticon

    My weight does not move either if I rely on premade frozen foods and drink to much diet soda regardless if I stay under calories. Such a bummer for a super busy working mom.
