For too many years I worked in the finance industry where the only goal seemed to be to increase profits. I was not happy, I was not content. Then I experienced a life-changing event and found myself out of work. I continued to look for employment in the finance industry but with no luck. Then one day, on a whim, I looked for work on a non-profit site. I applied to three was called in for one to interview and found employment and some happiness. Although my income is less I have increased my philanthropic giving ten-fold, I volunteer more and enjoy life more. Giving more agrees with me!
