An 'Artsy' Question

Saturday, October 17, 2015

What art medium would work best for scanning into the computer?

I am creating a family logo that could be used with anything.

I have a picture lightly drawn in pencil. Now what?

After it's done, want to see it? ;-)

SOMETIMES BLACK AND WHITE MAKES A STRONGER STATEMENT. BUT COLOR TRANSFERS BETTER. WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH THE DRAWING, IF YOU WANT TO USE IT FOR SEVERAL DIFFERENT MEDIAS, I WOULD SUGGEST TAKING IT TO A PRINTER (LIKE KIN KO'S OR YOUR LOCAL UPS STORE) AND SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO WITH IT. THEY DO SOME AMAZING STUFF. AND YES! I SURE WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT.

At least w/ our computer, scanning does best w/ bolder / brighter colors. Light ones have a hard time showing up at all...leave alone any detail.

    Have fun!

Personally, I like the colored pencils that become watercolors when you use them with water. That way you can experiment with different textures.

I'd love to see it once you're done with it, Elisa!
As Maringal said, maybe felt tip pens? Or have you thought about colored pencils?
    Good luck!
