With our million dollar personal training package we decided to do, we each get 2 BodPods, which are little body composition chambers. No underwater crap or anything, but supposed to be just about as accurate.
Anyhow, we just used our 2nd ones (we will end up paying for at least 1 more at the end). We were losing steam and needed to check in and see some progress because the scale is hardly moving after 8 weeks and lots of money. So, hubs goes first. His results are read to him while I'm in the BodPod, so I couldn't hear what they said.
As for me, I lost about 8.5lbs of fat, gained 2.5lbs of muscle, and lost 2" in my waist, 1.5" in my hips. HOOOORAAAY!!!! But, I don't feel any different, my clothes don't fit any different.
So, as I'm laying in bed I'm thinking about things. We had some obstacles in the beginning. Basically, for one reason or another (being sick, injured, flat out lazy), we were only working out during our training sessions. Maybe a quick cardio workout here and there, but no real commitment outside of training. We have been doing okay-ish on diet, I'd give us a B- or C+ if we were in school. I think a B- is fair.
Last week I decided that enough is enough. I need to work my booty off and make all of this money we are paying worth it! I need to be dedicated! So I have been. I've gotten a workout in every day this month so far. While thinking about all of this last night I made myself a promise. If I workout every day this month, I will do another BodPod at the beginning of November.
I want to see better results in this 4.5 weeks than I did in the first 8 weeks. I want to be able to fit into some of my old jeans. I want to finish this 5 months of training feeling like it was worth the money!!
So, in writing, this is my goal and my reward.
Workout EVERY DAY of October. If this means simply walking to meet my step goal (7k steps) 1-2 days a week, that is fine. Given that I have a desk job and don't move more than 2k steps if I'm not trying, getting 7k will require a decent walk or jog or intervals. This being said, my step goal must be met every day. I will post my FitBit progress to hold myself accountable.
I didn't hit my step goal on Saturday, but I was still at a 5k step goal, and I hadn't made this plan... So I'm not going to stress. I still worked out that day and got close to 7k steps.
Sorry for the long blog, if anybody is still reading, thank you!!!
