Week One Roundup

Despite being sick this week, I lost 1.4 pounds. Given that it was my first week back at working on my health, not so bad. It's easy for me to point to my first week back in 2010 and remember I lost 6 pounds... but this isn't then and I know more now than I did. Forever is going to take a bit longer to accomplish, especially when I'm not going to be restricting the way I did during that first week back then (unknowingly).

I've decided to skip church this morning as I only have one more day to rest up from this cold before I head back into work. I need a quiet day of solace and rest. 3 hour naps on Friday and Saturday have helped, perhaps I'll take another today. My cold is definitely on it's way out... now instead of being sick, it's just at the annoying lingering phase where you know you aren't "really" sick anymore, but still sick enough that you aren't 100%. Meh.

This week, on average, I was over on calories but within range for fat, protein, and carbs. I am choosing not to beat myself up about this considering that I haven't paid attention to anything for months. Accomplishing this deserves a pat on the back.

I will be joining an ED group on Tuesday. I've been before, but it wasn't for me (mostly because it was suggested I go and I was starting grad school. Disaster). Now? Now I have some time and I'm at a different place in my journey and I do think that I could possibly learn from other people's journey's, not to mention perhaps find some kinship of people who are struggling with the same thing.

So, go me for making it through week 1. Here we go week 2, here we go!

    So glad you see you back on here. Don't compare your weight loss journey to 2010. I tend to do the same. Let's just be happy for the accomplishments , Every pound lost is a victory. emoticon

    Sounds like a good start back with week one. Hey, every pound counts, and yes last time around you lost more weight the first week; however losing is a win regardless of the amount. Hope the rest of your cold symptoms are gone quickly.

    Good going for the first week.

    I know what you mean about fighting a cold. Mine has been going on for about 10 days now. I thought after a week that I was pretty much better, but now I'm back to coughing a lot and feeling kind of blah.

    Take care of yourself and don't try to tackle too much at once so that you experience a setback. Take it from me, it sucks.
