This week was chaos but I reached a milestone

This week was an example of how unexpected things in life can throw me off track. I can't believe I hurt my foot. I've been so careful this time around to do things gradually and ease into everything. It's taken me three months to work up to walking for an hour.
Pretty much I'm an idiot. lol. I laced my shoe way too tight. Those shoes are already kind of too tight anyway. The top of my left foot was completely bruised. It hurt so much Monday night I couldn't even sleep. I stayed off it all day Tuesday and took it easy most of Wednesday. It seems to be ok now but that and my new earlier work schedule made me disorganized this week because I was just too tired to stay on top of anything. That means I didn't plan my meals or snacks very well. That always leads to a stop at the drive-thru. I also didn't track a darn thing I ate for most of the week.
So I've retired those shoes and have learned to tie my shoes right. I also got in a good, long nap today. I feel ten times better and worked out hard at the gym.
It's not all bad news though. I have officially lost 20 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also somehow still managed to finish 11th this week in the FitBit challenge at work. Pretty good considering two of the seven days I didn't walk much. I'm hoping to start off this week strong.
