Plugging Away

Saturday, October 03, 2015

Well, my cough didn't kill me so that's a start. I spent a good portion of my day yesterday frustrated I couldn't access anything at work (thank you technology) and when I got sick of my own whining, I laid down and slept for 3 hours. That was probably what I needed in the first place.

Got up, went to Target and got myself a care package of sorts (cough drops, Nyquil, ice cream, Kleenex, soup...) It's been awhile since I've been sick, so I forgot how much I sucks to have no one there for you to help. Meh.

I couldn't taste anything yesterday, but I gave it my best anyway. Actually, I've given it a big effort this week. I didn't eat within my supposed calorie range once, but I also didn't go bonkers on any given day either. I'll take it.

Looking forward to feeling back to myself. My cough is breaking up and I can sufficiently breathe again. I know I need to clean my house, but I don't want to (and I'm using the excuse of me being sick as the reason... totally lame). Maybe I'll get something done a bit later.

Almost any excuse is a good one for not cleaning house...

I hope you feel better soon.

Aww....I think being sick is a perfectly good reason to spill yourself and do as little as pissible. Hope you keep feeling better!

Oh, I wish Mankato and vicinity weren't so far from the Twin Cities and vicinity. I would have brought chicken soup. It's good to hear you are feeling better. Let yourself convalesce properly and don't rush this 'back to normal' thing. Take naps as you need them (and if you lay down for 5 minutes and fall asleep, you probably need one)
