Surgery and starting again.

Friday, September 25, 2015

One of the things that stops me in my tracks is my hernia. A ventral hernia that was fixed once before, and is there because of the c-section I had nearly 9 years ago. I know that it's an excuse that's easy to use, but the fact of the matter is, it's painful. Very much so. There are some days that I can do exactly what I want to (cook every meal, exercise) but there are more days that I cannot, so I end up eating crap and doing nothing but lie there and wish the pain away.

I'm finally getting it taken care of, and I'm excited about that - excited and scared, of course - things like that are always scary, being major abdominal surgery and all. But it's still getting fixed and this means that I'll be better than I was.

I'm happy to hear that you are getting it taken care of. I hope you feel so much better (once you heal). Don't try to rush your recovery and give yourself time to mend. Take care! emoticon
