Hypo, high burn day n low calories

Well it's been one of those days, woke up at 445 am after finally getting to sleep around 1pm, despite going to bed at 10pm.

Got everything ready for work n was out the door by 6am only to have the van not being a happy camper, finally get going n text the corrdinator that I'm going to be late, get oil for the van put it in n I'm back on my way.

Arrive at the school, n the team is waiting for the custodian to let them in. 730 the custodian finally arrives, we where suppose to be in the school at 630 to get set up. So finally we get into the school n it's a rush to set our kits up.

Get set up, I go and test ny glucose levels n shock of shock I'm actually my high end of hypo (3.3 [59]), growl to myself and head back to scarf down some crackers before the classes start arriving.

Something like two hours later I've got a break n test again - 2.5 (45). Grab a handful of grapes from my lunch bag n pop a mitful into my mouth n take a long swig of my soda stream (which only has a max if 10 grabs of carbs for the whole liter), n in short order start back up.

Few moments before lunch time my husband arrives yo exchange the car for the van so more running around get that settled n finally check my numbers 2.8 (50).

Finish lunch and do another test 9.1 (163) not a shock since I'd eaten a cabbage salad with a cup of grapes, I choose not to test n get on with photographing. Hour later we brake n I test I'm at 6.1 (109), not bad decent number.

We finish up the classes n start packing up our gear, get everything set n go to test 3.5 (63) not good since I have to drive home. So I finish loading my car n everyone takes off, I pull my car into a spot n pull out my emergency can of pepsi n down the entire thing wait 15 min n I'm back up to 6 (108). I know it's a temp solution so I head for the grocery store to pick up lunch for tomorrow. Test n I'm at 5.3 (95), decent but I've not got long before my numbers crash again, so I down my poweraid.

Get home unload n park tge car test 4.1 (73) not great but could be worse.

Finally entered my stuff for the day n ya I'm no where close to 1200 calories never mind the 3000 sp is suggesting do to burning close to 2000 calories. Ya major reason for the hypos all day long. I so need more protein bars then the ones I've been having.

    not sure what your numbers mean because I don't have diabetes,best of luck with it.

    wow, your numbers are so low..... wish I could be lower than I am but the only time I have to worry is overnight/mornings.

    Yes, it would not hurt to have some bars or even some nuts to carry with you. Anything that can tide you over when needed but not go bad on you when sitting in the car for days on end....
