Candles and more candles..and other stuff...

Thursday, September 24, 2015

Wow, this week has been so hectic, just as the weekend was. Seems like I barely get time to sit down anymore..yes I know what the doctor would say, but I'm still working on less stress, thank goodness it's working.

Monday I had the CAMDEN Meeting; Tuesday a doctors appointment which I stayed in town to do some other running for the playground event. Then that evening I wrote my speech for the Wednesday meeting.

Wednesday, today, I had a speech to give in regards to the playground and then have been working on the fundraising candles, and now was catching up on sending out the Secretary's report to those not present at the meeting; contacting people in regards to grants, donations..just never ending.

At Monday's meeting our grant-writer got a text saying that Festival Foods was donating money, but that they wouldn't tell us how much. They are asking that someone meet with them on Oct 29, that they'll be sending out an email to let us know the exact time, to receive the check. How exciting, I can't wait to see how much it's for. They paid for all the fireworks this year in Janesville, and I know that was a LOT. Keeping my fingers crossed, but like I say, any amount is more towards the rebuild!

Our Daughter sent me pictures of our Grandpuppy again, this time she'd gone into the bathroom and when she came out,...this was where he was at. The only way he could have gotten in there, she was, was to back into the spot. He's such a card sometimes!

These are the Packer candles I made for the fundraiser; I'm going to make some for the Badgers, and Brewers, too. I'm also going to make some in the Harley Davidson colors. Our Daughter gave me a great idea; to do Packer candles with Clay Matthews, Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, and Randall Cobb, so I'm going to do that, too.

Well, back to the rush tomorrow, I hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week...one of these days I'll actually have a full week that nothing happens...I can always hope.

Oh, we got a new DVD/blue ray player that I returned once already, and got another. Well, this one is cutting out the picture after a while and then I have to either shut it off and restart it, or once in a great while, it'll come back on it's own. The other one did that, too..I guess I won't get another Sony DVD player. Worse part is I have to take all the speakers in and I got rid of the box already..but all that wiring is all around the living room. (It's a home theater system.)

So that's my week, see you soon! emoticon

Wow! Your energy and commitment are amazing. Any organization would love to have you on their team.

From how they are asking for a specific time and day to present the check, I bet Festival Food's donation is impressive. Let us know.

What a cute fur baby! Don't you just love all of that adorableness!?!?!?!?!?

What a darling puppy! He sure does look like lovable mischief.
Good luck on the candles. They sound fabulous, but like lots of work.
And sorry about the home entertainment center. The one we have has been a royal pain for other reasons, but once you have everything set up like that, it's hard not to keep trying to work with it.
Easier days are coming. If you have any reject candles, maybe you should light one next to a warm bubble bath...
