Today we pulled up a lot of the garden plants because it is now getting cold at night, and first frost could be here any morning. We harvested two giant bowls of green peppers,
emoticon about 8 lbs of eggplants, about 10 to 15 lbs of tomatillos, about 20 lbs of tomatoes (that will continue to ripen inside), emoticon beets, leeks and kale. We made 6 jars of pickled beets, 4 jars of salsa verde, 4 containers to freeze of tomatillo soup, and froze the leeks. Tomorrow we have to deal with all the peppers. We left the carrots and parsnips in the ground for a few more weeks. emoticon It was a full day!
