Today we pulled up a lot of the garden plants because it is now getting cold at night, and first frost could be here any morning. We harvested two giant bowls of green peppers,
about 8 lbs of eggplants, about 10 to 15 lbs of tomatillos, about 20 lbs of tomatoes (that will continue to ripen inside),
beets, leeks and kale. We made 6 jars of pickled beets, 4 jars of salsa verde, 4 containers to freeze of tomatillo soup, and froze the leeks. Tomorrow we have to deal with all the peppers. We left the carrots and parsnips in the ground for a few more weeks.
It was a full day!
