It's so hard...

So I've been trying to exercise more and eat better, but I seem to be failing at that daily. I have been exercising 2/week, which is an improvement, but I can only exercise for about 20 minutes on the treadmill before I am too exhausted to go on. Yesterday, I tried to do the treadmill at an incline and ended up strained a muscle in my right leg, so no exercising today. I'm hoping that I will be able to do more soon, but it's been 5 weeks and I'm still struggling to exercise twice per week. I don't have the self-control to eat better, either. I rarely count my food/calories because I know I'm going over every day. I'm struggling so much. I want to improve, but it seems so out of reach.

    I agree, tracking is the key. Also, till you get stronger, break up that 20 minutes throughout the day to only 5 minutes 4 times a day? Incline,,,, don't kill yourself! I know it's hard, but it's a lifestyle, you'll find what works for you. emoticon

    Why don't you try to write on paper exactly why or what are the reasons to lose weight in the first place. Exercising is great but you should be eating healthy along with moving. I know, it is a difficult journey losing weight. But if you want to feel better, look better and do better, changing your mindset would be beneficial. Best wishes to you.

    p.s. No more excuses about not exercising. There are videos on this site to do exercises sitting in a chair. Keep on moving!

    that is tough to deal with. Track your calories anyways. It'll open your eyes to where your calories are coming from. Start with small changes. Do diet soda for zero calories or flavored water. Do the light version of all your condiments. good luck
