Here I am once again... Still having issues with my weight. Let's face it, I hate exercising (Unless it's Zumba!).
Thing is, I had to stop my hormone pills for now. My husband claims I'm now more "snappy". He believes it affects my moods. Possibly so, but at least it has helped me on my weight loss journey. When I was on those pills, I was always hungry & it was harder to lose the weight I had gained.
I was determined once again. So I started jogging/power walking around my neighborhood. There are lots of inclines here. So I would power walk my way up & run my way down. And I also carry my favorite, uplifting music with me on my iPod. I find I actually look forward to it.
I begin after I get up in the morning. Sometimes I don't get out 'til lunch time. Which is ok. As long as I get out there!
My diet was an experiment. So far, it's working... I have one cup of coffee when I get up. Here's what I make: One cup of Skim Milk which I warm up in the microwave for two minutes. Then I add one teaspoon of instant coffee & four small teaspoons of sugar (I'm of Latin descent. It's gotta be sweet!)
I own one of those Nutri-bullet blenders. So for lunch, I take 1/2 a can of Pineapple chunks (in pineapple juice). Add a bit of water (you can also add some Metamucil for fiber). Then blend it nicely into a smoothie! Its delicious! And it fills me up.
I may snack on a hand full of mixed nuts (salted). And maybe later a 2% low fat cottage cheese containing the Live Active stuff for my digestion (4 ounces).
Dinner is a frozen dinner. In this case I'm having Healthy Choice Dinners. Any of them will do. They are very tasty & I don't have to fuss... I allow myself to add 4 multi-grain Kroger Crackers & drink 6 ounces of Orange juice mixed with 6 ounces of Cranberry Juice.
For dessert I have one Kroger "No Sugar Added" skinny popsicle. And of course, I take all my multi-vitamins.
If there is any "cheating", I have a hand full of M&M's Dark chocolate.
I've lost 7 lbs. in two weeks. What I haven't done enough is weight training. But I do go out on my "runs" on the week days. I have used Coach Nicole's Total Body Sculpting Video a few times as well... Easy to do with or without hand weights... Adding on some tummy crunches every few days (120).
Although I didn't check with my Doctor, it is highly recommended that you do. I am way under my recommended calorie intake. But right now for me, I have to do this for maybe one more week to get my weight to a manageable place.
