Breaking through a plateau - FINALLY!

For the past several weeks, I've hovered at the 30lb mark. The scale has fluctuated up and down, but never below 30lbs...UNTIL TODAY!! Finally! It took a little more consciousness on my part to break through. I'd gotten a little off track with my portions at dinner. So, started being more mindful again. I cranked up my cardio a little. Trying to get into running. Not there yet...but trying!!

I'm officially down 31lbs...and I couldn't be happier! Yay!! Now on to my next goal...getting below the 200lb mark.

In the meantime, vacation next week! Looking forward to fitting into the airplane seat better and having the energy to keep up with my daughter at Disney World! I may even have a little more swagger in my step at the beach!

    When you get stuck on a plateau here is a tip..hat may help you

    Several days of fewer carbohydrates and more protein can help push you off a plateau
    Also look at the labels and check sodium and sugar content of the foods you are might be surprised.........skip all breads and pasta for a few days.... eat veggie berries which have the least impact on blood sugar and veggies as they can also hydrate you. Dehydration can stall weight loss.

    Have 3 ounces of protein at every meal as it stimulates the body to release the fat burning hormone glucagon..

    If pounds aren't coming off salt may be sabotaging your effort to lose weight. Try to eat 1,000MG of salt or less per day and see the pounds start coming off once again. Cumin revs weight loss, so substitute cumin for salt. I emoticon found that moving every 20 minutes all day long helps break a plateau too.

    My son and his wife took there 3 yod to Disney World and they"met the Princesses" and she had a great time, but they spent a lot of money. There is just so much to do there, and he said staying there was good as about 1 PM she needed her nap so they went back to the room and all slept and then got up and went to the pool and had dinner and then went back out for the evening events.
