Back on the Horse Part 2

So about a year and a half ago I had basically reached my weight goal. I had lost approximately 40 lbs. Then I gained back about 20 lbs., but kept the rest off. The last two months, I have gained back most of the rest of those 20 lbs. So I'm basically back at where I started. The good: I am back on Spark People, and am using the trackers to track my food, even if I go over my suggested calories per day. I also joined a gym just over a month ago and have been going twice per week for about 30-45 minutes. I signed up for a personal trainer and have used him for about a month, which was great, but just not within my budget.
So now I have to commit myself to exercising without him. I think going to a trainer for a month helped me to get back on track, though. I am committed to working out at least twice a week right, and slowly increasing the amount of time I am at the gym and the intensity of my workouts. Today I did personal training (lunges, mountain climbers, triceps workout, and posture workout) for 30 minutes. Then was on the treadmill for 20 minutes. I spent 5 minutes warming up at about 1.5 mph, then did 10 minutes at 3 mph, then did 5 minutes cool down at 1.5 mph. My goal is to get my time on the treadmill doing 3 mph up to 30 minutes, but that may take me a very long time. My legs felt like jelly when I was finished! Also, once I finish working with my personal trainer (2 sessions left), I plan to learn how to use the weights so that I can do resistance training for 15-20 minutes per gym day. They also have a circuit training room at my gym, which I like. That's my update! I haven't really started to work on food yet, but I find it hard to work on both food and going to the gym at the same time, so I'm just taking the food thing slowly. I'm doing some realistic tracking of my intake so I can see how many calories I'm eating, and then I can do some real changes to my portion sizes.
