Week 2 with Beck's Diet Solution

Well, while I haven't been sticking with the beck program very closely this week - doing a chapter every day, reading my diet-reasons 2+ a day, writing a lot more than I do (forget the "diet diary"!), I have been tracking all my food and exercise, eating sitting down, and not eating mindlessly! And I make a point of giving myself credit for these (another beck thing).
Good results -this week I lost a pound and my stomach doesn't rumble any more. I do wish I could lose more fast (I did lose 2.5 the first week), but I guess I just have to be patient!
Things I need to work on - I notice my fiber and calcium are low so I need to remember to drink more milk and eat more apples(now in season!), beans, veggies and maybe switch to shredded wheat (what Don eats) from Cheerios.
On the exercise front, I've walked 2 miles most mornings before breakfast (in the 'old' days, I used to run 3 miles) and yesterday went to my cardio/strength gym class for the first time in over a month, and plan to go wednesday. And I definitely am up to hiking more!
So, things are looking good.
