Day 11 of Whole 30

Friday, September 04, 2015

Day 11 for me. Horrible headache last night but good this morning.

The program has you cut grains, dairy, sugar [even stevia and xylitol], legumes, and anything artificial [even gum] for 30 days. I can't believe the incredible difference in my energy and focus these last 11 days. It's QUITE amazing!!!!!! I've been able to sit and focus on lesson planning for hours and hours and still have energy to go out and weed the garden a bit. I can't express how grateful I am that God is helping me in this area; however, the problems "down south" (as my sweet mom calls it) are not ANY better whatsoever! In fact, I'm so miserable that it's affecting my sleep. I'll spare you the horrible details, but it's the worse thing I've ever experienced health-wise. I'm on a 3 month anti-fungal; so yesterday, because of NO change in almost 3 weeks on the meds, or from eating so clean, I decided I'm cutting fruit [except avocados] also until 9-23 which is the end of my 30 days. PLEASE pray for me. I also am going to eat 5 carbs ever 3-5 hours [like sweet potatoes which is 2 TBS] to keep my blood sugars a little level , but HOPEFULLY not too much carbs which turns to sugar and feeds the candida.

My amazing breakfast: Pepper, onion, and zucchini sautéed in coconut oil; scrambled eggs over bed of greens with paleo bacon crumbled on top and garnished with fresh tomatoes. Fermented veggies. Coffee with homemade almond milk and coconut oil. WONDERFUL!!! It's so energizing to eat a clean diet!

Have an awesome day!

emoticon WTG! I have thought about doing the Whole 30 many times. The no stevia part kept me from doing it because I have to have some kind of sweetener in my coffee. But, I am doing a 10 Day Detox Diet (on day 7) and haven't had coffee or stevia during the diet, so maybe I could make it for 30 days. May have to try it at some point!

So glad that you are feeling so well!

Yes, Good call with the fruits. Some are so high in sugar .. my sister says might as well make a pan of brownies and eat the whole thing! LOL
I do have to be somewhat careful balancing my fruits and grains. Not pretty when I have high sugar fruits without good carbs... Praying!!

I have truly heard that "die-out" from a bad case of candida can be NOT FUN in the whole "down south" category. Sorry for the added trouble, but very glad for you that you are finding healthy foods that help with clear-minded thinking.

Day by day, with His strength to do all that He has for us to do.

You probably thought of this long ago regarding "down south" but have you tried probiotics (a supplement not yogurt)? Not instead of the anti fungals but in addition to? I've been there and feel your horrible awful no-good pain! They really helped for me. Best wishes!

WOW such a limited diet. I have multiple health issues also and my diet was so limited. I was losing weight each time I sent to the doctor and he lifted some of the restrictions. I was so weak. Where I am there is a limited diet also.
Keep up the good work and

WOW! Your meal looks AMAZING!!! My hat is off to you, taking on such an endeavor, as I know at first it wasn't an easy task, but as you go on, it does get easier. As for your down South problems, God has that, too. I'm praying for you, and I know that when 2 or more agree here on earth and BELIEVE, it is DONE!!!

    Blessings!
