Moving ahead again!

Thursday, August 27, 2015

I tried my old exercise routine (one of them), the walking one, and it wasn't too bad. Got a little tired, but it's been a while since I'd done that one. It's an aerobic walk, so it involves a bit more than just walking. Going to do the yoga one in the afternoon, that way when I'm more tensed up, it'll relax me.

Got up and checked Facebook before doing everything, found out on there (instead of getting a phone call like I should have gotten) that I had a new grandniece who had been born 2-3 hours before that. Kind of disappointed I'd not gotten a call from my sister-in-law but all of her family was at the hospital with my niece (her brother, her grandparents (my sil's parents), her mom's best friend, her 10 year old cousin, her aunt and uncle, anyone and everyone who was related to her mom were there, no kidding. Not one person from our side of the family was there, because we weren't notified).

So I decided I'd just go when all of them are gone, or the majority of them. Just wished they'd have let us know she was even in the hospital to give birth (it was cesarian, so they did know ahead of time). BUT not going to let it bug me, we have others we've been to that did let us know, and we were there for them, so missing this one isn't anything to worry about.

Anyway, I have no clue how big she was, etc, but as they knew ahead of time, she is a girl, Charlotte Rose-Ann. Have no clue of any other details (time, etc), sorry, they didn't let anyone know, but we have a new baby in the family.

Have a great day everyone.

    Congratulations on your family's latest addition! I just love the name. Even though you weren't notified, which just isn't fair, I think youngsters nowadays post things on social media and that's all. I have found out about several life events this way. Give her lots of hugs and kisses when you see her. How exciting!

    Such a cute baby. "Let it go" regarding being informed via social media. It is today's world. There are many more items in YOUR world that are of a higher priority. Keep smiling in the meantime!

    these days the younger generation uses FACEBOOK for everything. I wouldn't even have it if it weren't for the fact that folks don't know how to use a phone (to talk to someone anyway) or write a letter or personal invitation. everything is so impersonal these days... and if you miss it or don't check it in time and miss out --- everyone thinks its your own fault. I'm sorry I don't live my life around the computer or a cell phone. ok... i;m done. i;ll get of my soap box now. enjoy your grand neice. =}

    Congratulations on the new baby in your family! Yes it is disappointing that you weren't notified. But you can't control other people's actions; and I think that many young people communicate differently. My nieces and nephews ALL use FaceBook and texting; they don't respond very promptly to phone calls or e-mails, and they never initiate them. emoticon
