Today my teams Summer challenge comes to an end. Go Tangerines! emoticon

When I turned 40, I had accomplished many things. I had a huge goal list. Many things I wanted to accomplish before I hit that monumental year. I lost 35 pounds.
Problem was, I didn't have any goals for the day after I turned 40. I went from dieting diligently and working out 4 to 5 times a week. I got cruise tickets for my birthday. With no new goals...literally the day after my party, I was alone in the house with a ton of catered foods with no one to witness me being good on my diet. Apparently I thrive on praise. On the cruise, there were many stairs to climb...so I didn't feel the need to use the gym there...or my own gym for the next 4 months.
With no new goals, I didn't do much after that, but at least kept more then half the weight off.

Now, I'm 50. I'd been working on my healthy lifestyle (not a diet) for seven months and my goals were irrelevant of that birthday. As of today, I've lost 70 pounds since Jan and a total of 107 pounds since 2009.
My goal for the challenge this past 10 weeks was 25 pounds. I'm very happy with the 20 I lost. This blog isn't so much a brag session, (yeah a bit) but a reminder that this is not the last day of a challenge, but the start of my next goal. hmmm pondering next goals.
For starters I'm packing up my scale today. It's become an obsession that has consumed me while I should be focusing on my nutrition and fitness.

I had my measurements taken a few days ago, and my clothes will tell me how I'm doing.
Today I will make a fitness plan. I'm doing a lot and that's great, but as soon as my walking friend can't make it, I don't walk alone. So, time for a schedule to keep.

As usual, my blogs tend to be a lot of rambling, but just writing these things down make me accountable for them. I'm off to evaluate my goal boards and make new changes.
