Day 182 of the 'Q' - Back to the Grind

Wednesday, August 19, 2015

Almost 20 days later...not quite sure WHAT happened to my summer but it's over. Sitting here at my table again, making schedules and plans on how to fit in more students than ever into my day.

And realizing that my job is putting a serious cramp in my running lifestyle. ^_^

It would certainly help if I was a faster runner. Problem is, it takes at least an hour for me to run 5 miles. Right now I'm training for a 10 miler at the end of September so that will be at least 2 hours right there. I don't have an hour to spare between time I wake up and the time I need to get everyone up and ready for school. I also don't have an hour between when my official school day ends and when I have to pick the boys up from daycare. I also don't have an hour between dinner and darkness, and running after dark is a really bad idea out here without me going into a town. Plus I'd never see my husband again. I'd leave as soon as the boys were in bed, and come back just to go to bed.

This wasn't a problem when I could barely handle 3 miles. :/ What a problem to have.
