Started my day at the gym and enjoyed most of an I Love Lucy episode on the elliptical. It was the one where they were all riding bikes to Nice and spent the night in the guy's barn and she milked the cow. So funny....

Once home we did a little bit of school before it was time to head to Maegann's counseling appointment at 10. I spent the time just doing nothing.... actually played a game on my Kindle where I am to create a city. It was relaxing. I am happy that this counselor appears to be a good match for her and I am seeing results. The biggest is regarding the co-op teen stuff. She has refused to go to the activities since she was in this group because of some teasing that happened right at the beginning of last year and then she never could get past it. She wants to go to the first teen activity on Friday!!!!!! I have arranged for Isaac to spend the time at friends (their mom is the other student council sponsor) and then I can just hang out at the party. Thankful as it is a long drive to the park from our house.

Then this afternoon I met with the Hospice group and signed dad up. It is difficult to do knowing that it is the final road map of his healthcare. I know it is the right decision and for one thing will take such a load off of me as all the doctor appointments will no longer be necessary and knowing he will have more visitation during the week to keep an eye on his pain and well being.

Tomorrow... gym, school with the kids and a couple quick errands. Should be a quiet day!

Glad Maegann seems to be doing well. I am sure hospice will be very helpful. I have a friend who is a hospice nurse, and she sees it as a ministry (which of course it is)

I'm excited for glad to hear the counseling is helping and that she is wanting to try getting involved again.

Hospice care can be so wonderful. Its blessing to help our elderly prepare for death and hospice is such a huge part of that. Plus it gives you the opportunity to just be his daughter again during this time of transition. I know God has his handiwork in all this Janet.

We chose Hospice for my aunt and uncle and their son over the course of seven years and even though their circumstances were all different it was the right choice for each of them. I pray your Dad and your family will have a similar, loving experience with Hospice. We found all of them to be truly wonderful and caring people.

It does sound like hospice is the way to go.

I am glad that Maegann is wanting to go to the teen activity -- and I am also glad you will be there.
