For a very long time now, I have cut way back on soda, I am active 80% of my day, I drink tons of water, and I burn more calories than I take in. But I don't seem to be making any progress! I keep struggling with the same ten lbs, week after week. One week it's down, next it goes back up. I'm losing my mind! What am I doing wrong?????

First stress impacts weight loss. Sadly I know that first hand. Also do you weight train as well building muscle helps you with weight loss. Lastly I agree with the others if still no change talk to your doctor. Good luck!

I know I need to add some strength training. That's my next big thing to work on.

I write down everything I eat. (I was using another app before I came back here. I like spark better.) I have my activity level set at sedate so it makes me work harder. I get my thyroid checked every 6 months since it runs in my family.

Good morning -- Annsimonee has some great points .. but I would add as well .. Are you writing down what is going in your mouth ??

I had been going up and up and up and up for quite some time .. even days when I "thought" I was doing good .. ?? but now that I write things down .. I found out I was eating a lot more calories than I thought .. I started journaling... EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth (even those tastes while cooking), my feeling for the day .. Am I stressed, am I relaxed, has there been anything to throw me off .. How will I handle the "food pushers" in my life, How will I handle the emotional eating in my life .. ?? Journaling is a good thing .. even if you do it here !!!! I use a notepad on my phone during the day because that is with me all the time, and I email it to myself at the end of the day .. I have my "journal" in a file on my computer .. nothing fancy, but it helps me pinpoint where my problems could be ..

If you still don't see any changes after doing what I suggested you, than you should go to a doctor. Maybe the problem is more complex than dieting and working out. Good luck! :)

And stop lying to yourself, if you do it. I used to complain about not losing any pounds, but in reality I was making some bad, apparently unsignificant choices which affected my progress. Be stronger than your excuses! I know you can do this!

Being stressed out influences your weightloss more than you can imagine (I talk from experience). Try not to focus so much on the number on the scale and do the right choices for a healthier, happier you.

??? Hey your on spark! That's great! Please be careful you don't demotivated yourself by focusing on just one number. I've added you as a friend, let's check in with each other next week.

Try to eat less, at specific hours every day, change your exercise routine and be more positive, because your thoughts can affect your progress. As you lose weight, your body gets used to the food and the workouts, so you have to maka a change :)
