Having a much better day today . . . . well, it started yesterday afternoon when DH asked if I wanted to go for a ride to the coast.
Well, no, I didn't feel like it, but I wasn't getting anything accomplished anyway, so I said sure why not.
I didn't feel like taking my bike, so I rode on the back of his. About half the way to the coast, I guess enough fresh air must have penetrated my brain that it kicked me out of my slump.
I looked around at the beautiful Redwoods, the blue sky, inhaled the fresh air
and said "Hey Thanks Dad! I'm 62 years old and living my dream!!!"
This morning, our local Art Guild was having it's annual Studio Sale and I've really been looking forward to it. Last year it had tons of artist-related equipment and materials
and I found a lot of really nice stuff.
This year, it was a bust. Very disappointing. . . . more like a neighborhood junky yard sale.
After that, we decided to drive up to the Oregon Caves to check out the display of the jewelry I have on consignment at the Gift Shop at the Chateau. (I made a some cave-themed bat earrings and charm bracelets) I was really happy to see that all of them had sold.
So, I just finished drilling a bunch of bats and am ready to put together a dozen pair of earrings which should get them through the remainder of the season.
DH wanted to stop for a burger on the way home, and when mine was delivered I immediately cut the burger in half and put it into a doggy bag. I may not be arrive at my goal quickly, but I am gonna get there!
How's your day going?
