Okay, comin' clean here: It's been several months since I've stepped on a scale. Haven't bothered tracking my food either. More recently life has been presenting many opportunities and challenges which have also eclipsed what used to be my rock solid exercise / workout routines. Also cut into my time here with my SparkFamily...apologies for that.
Sounds like I'm just going down the tubes, no?
So why am I only two pounds above my all-time low weight of 207?!?!
Well here are the two life-savers which have done an admirable job of coming to my rescue:
1) Making changes in my life such that there is not a SHRED of what I consider to be toxic, trigger food (sugar, processed grains) in my home.
2) Being mindful of the fit of my clothes.
I'll admit, however: being mindful of the slight decline my physical strength and endurance resulting from my lack of working out and (wouldja believe!) record low number of miles racked up on my bike this summer had me concerned enough to FINALLY get the heck back to the fitness center for some weight lifting (notching the weights down a tad...sigh) and a spinning class last night.
Now THAT'S more like it! :-)
I have to admit to feeling a bit cocky over accomplishing such successful weight maintenance through a largely intuitive approach to my food choices...woo hoo! Definitely NOT planning to allow this to override my healthy choices and to keep on keeping on!
So hey everyone let's do the best we can in whatever way works for ourselves and keep and nurture our SPARK!
