I joined the Y a few days ago. My goal for the next 3 months is to simply earn my health plan and corporate wellness program membership fee incentives. If I go 12x a month, I will receive $40 back - making my membership $26/mo or a maximum of $2.16 a visit. That is so affordable I can't use my budget as an excuse to quit!

Day 1 and 2 were Sat/Sun. Today because of my after work schedule, I went in at 5. I did 18 minutes on a recumbent ellipitcal. I arrived about 5:05 so I think if the dog cooperates and I can get out of the house at 4:45, I can be there at 5, exercise for 25 minutes and still make the 6:04 bus which gets me dowtown just after 6:30. Not a huge change to the start of my day.

So far I do feel like I have more energy; I feel less sleepy but we'll see how that goes. As I start to yawn right now.

Weight loss cannot be my focus. Or a primary goal. I will quit if it is. I need to focus on health, strength and making it possible to live an active lifestyle. I want to go on hiking vacations but I won't be able to unless I make some real and lasting changes. My choices have not been lining up with my vision. And if I create a vision from my choices, all I see is a tired, fat and sick person.

I have been the only one putting limits on myself.
