What Would You Want If It Was You?

Sunday, August 02, 2015

Reading a member blog for Copious Joy, I am reminded of the year I spent waiting for a diagnosis of possible cancer, and my heart goes out to her. Unless you have been in the position, you don't know how it feels. You want to kick and scream, yet you seem to be paralyzed and incapable of action. One of my dearest friends took to her bed the day of her pancreatic cancer diagnosis, let herself be drugged into oblivion, and died two weeks later, never having said goodbye to us. I can't begin to tell you what a hole she left in my life but I don't know in the same position if I would not be tempted to do the same thing.

If you usually lurk and never bother to contact any other members, give goodies, etc., would you please make an exception today? Her blog post is almost right next to mine. Thanks so much.
