Fitness is not just one choice! Marshfield,WI

Today, the long run was on the docket. Luckily, I had a very easy schedule today to get it in. So, I slept until I woke up. That is the best way to wake up. No alarms, no noise! Anyway, I am off on a tangent again. I laid in bed for a little checking email and doing a mental plan for the day. Then, I got up and got dressed and got out of the truck and started stretching. This is a cutback week on my training schedule, so I only had five miles to run today. Off, I went. The weather was absolutely perfect. 66 degrees and sunny. It did get into the upper 70's by the time I was done. As, I ran I thought about how hard I trained for my last marathon. I thought about the huge success I had. Then, I let myself slip back into easy and lazy ways and gained a ton back. I am still angry with myself about it. Anyway, then I started to think about fitness and health being a choice. It really is not one choice. It is many, many, many choices. I made the choice to get up and run. I made the choice to have an apple and three mini twixs after I ran. I make the choice to hardly never drink soda. I make the choice to track my food. I make the choice to stay within my calorie range each day. CHOICE!!! Each choice is a small step in a journey of life. The choice of how far you go is up to you! Nobody can make that choice for you! What will you choose?

    You are absolutely right! I choose to make good healthy choices that will aid my body to keep me going longer and allow me to feel good about my choices! emoticon
